His Grace

Why do we find it so hard to ask for help from people, never mind asking for help from God? Could it be that we think we have to be  independent with everything? Otherwise we might be considered weak to certain people.

God wants us to know that in our weakness we are made strong.

He states in His word;

9 …. “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” 10… For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NLT).

 Growing up, I can’t tell you how many times I heard, “God doesn’t give you more than you can handle.” As a kid, I did not know exactly why my mother would always come back to that statement. I used to think, ‘Enough already, I get it!’. Only after going through my own tests and trials did I realized she was right, He does only give you what you can handle. It is up to you whether you choose to embrace your faith through the trial and become dependent on God or will you continue  being independent?

When we put our trust in God nothing is impossible! We also have to remember not all our tests and trials come from God but He does promise to make good of all things for those that love Him.  Amen!

  1. The truth is we have more strength in ourselves than we know. Trials ate the revelators of what God has put inside of us. Secrets are revealed ny fire.

  3. Right on Deb !!! The world teaches us that asking for help is a sign of weakness but God says theres strenght in the asking.!My earthly father allways asked me when I was going to be able to stand up on my own two feet. Not that he wouldnt help if I asked but I was again told to put on my big boy pants and work things out because in that fashion I would learn. My grandfather”God rest his soul” threw me out of a rowboat so I would learn to swim. Yikes !!! talk about sink or swim ! I made it to shore but I never became a strong swimmer.In fact I was a lil afraid of the water after that.The “Church” has gotten so far away from this principle of helping each other.out with even the smallest of tasks. The book of Acts teaches us that the “Church did nearly everything together.Meeting together everyday day and night, nowadays we barely see each other. Sunday morning they run in as late as possible and again leave as soon as they can get out of the sanctuary.Life outside the church has become more important and more fun than church.(how sad) How can we even ask them if they need any help with ANYTHING ? CHURCH needs to become a bigger part of all of our lives !So heres the question. How do we make church a bigger BETTER part of our lives? FOOD? FUN? Those are good things and necessities but we need a move of the SPIRIT to accomplish what we haven’t!.Prayer and Worship need to be at the top of our to-do list.

    • Hey, Mike I’m glad you stopped by and I agree that we do need to keep prayer and worship high on our list. Not to mention sharing the Gospel! I pray that His presence wraps around everyone who walks through those doors! Amen and Amen!!!!
