This psalm has been resonating in my heart for the past week especially this part of verse twenty-six; …God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.
Psalm 73:23-28 (NLT)
23 Yet I still belong to You; You hold my right hand. 24 You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. 25 Whom have I in heaven but You? I desire You more than anything on earth. 26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.
27 Those who desert Him will perish, for You destroy those who abandon You. 28 But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things You do.
When walking through difficult trials oh, how we wish there was a path in which someone didn’t have to get hurt but that is hardly ever the case, is it? Then the next hurdle we face is which path to choose? How do you choose? So we pray for God’s will to be done in our lives and that we have the strength to be obedient to His will.
God works all things together good for those that love Him and sometimes that is hard to see through the torrential rains in the midst of our storms. But how amazing it is to know that we are His children and nothing can separate us from His love.
Romans 8:39 says,
39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
He is the strength of my heart and how privileged it is to know He is mine forever!
Lord Jesus, help me to accept Your will in my life no matter what. Father, help me be obedient to Your will knowing that someone may get hurt in the action of that will. Jesus, I thank You for loving me and being the strength of my heart in the midst of my storms. Lord Jesus, give me revelation through Your word to grow spiritually from the storms in my life. Father God, thank You for never leaving my side and I am forever grateful knowing that nothing can separate me from Your love! Amen and Amen!
Sending you a hug, Debby! Your posts resonate with me. Thank you.
